Albion welcome official plant-based partner DOPSU

DOPSU

West Bromwich Albion are delighted to announce DOPSU as the club's Official Plant-Based Partner.

DOPSU is a plant-based protein product which is so like meat, you probably wouldn't believe it isn’t. Their products have been created to encourage a reduction in meat intake without compromising on taste.

DOPSU are Albion's first ever plant-based partner and fans will be able to try their delicious ‘No-Beef Burgers’ inside The Hawthorns from Sunday, January 2.

The agreement will also see the DOPSU logo displayed on the back of the first-team shorts for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign, with both parties committed to exploring a longer-term relationship following a successful first few months working in partnership.

Simon King, Albion's Chief Commercial Officer commented: "We are delighted to have partnered with DOPSU. As a club, we are continually working towards reducing our carbon footprint, and by bringing DOPSU on board we now have a fantastic product that will provide our fans and corporate members an alternative option should they want to reduce their meat intake without losing out on flavour.

"In DOPSU we have a partner that supports our commercial growth while allowing us to offer a new product to our client base. We have already successfully incorporated their no-chicken, no-pork, no-duck and no-beef products into our non-match day catering functions for those who request vegetarian or non-meat dietary requirements, and I am confident that the club will provide a fantastic concourse platform for DOPSU to continue to grow their brand over the course of the season."

Abby Flynn, Brand Manager at DOPSU said: "We’re so excited to be partnering with West Bromwich Albion. DOPSU is very new to the market, so partnering with a club this size and with such heritage is a dream come true. We have already had fantastic feedback from guests and some Baggies legends who have tasted our products, and we can’t wait for fans to try it too."

Abby added: "For supporters wondering about the name. (DOP)pelganger + (Sub)stitute = DOPSU. We figured a brand new product needed a brand new word."

DOPSU is available to buy in most recognised national supermarkets. For more information on their product range, visit www.dopsu.com
