Albion have implemented additional measures to help supporters make a smooth entry into The Hawthorns for Wednesday night’s game against Charlton Athletic.
James Morrison’s team will host the Addicks in the Sky Bet Championship fixture, with kick-off at 7.45pm.
The club has been in dialogue with members of its Fan Advisory Board (FAB) and Independent Supporters’ Trust since the first home match of the season, when some supporters experienced extended queues as they entered the stadium. This came after new measures were put in place to tackle concession ticket misuse.
To avoid queues, Baggies fans are encouraged to arrive as early as possible on Wednesday evening, with turnstiles open from 6.15pm.
What are the additional measures?
Upon arrival at The Hawthorns, supporters will now find nine extra “adult and concession” turnstiles. These are in addition to those already implemented in the summer.
The “adult and concession” turnstiles added since last weekend are for those who use concession tickets - or enter alongside someone who does.
Concession tickets include: under-14s, under-17s, under-20s, 20-25s and seniors (65+), as well as any disabled ticket for one of those categories. Disabled adults – and their accompanying Personal Assistants – can enter via an “adult only” or “adult and concession” turnstile.
Adults who are attending without a concession ticket holder are reminded they should enter via the ‘Adult Only’ turnstiles.
Stewards outside the stadium will be more proactive and communicative, which will improve queue management.
The club has also covered fixed readers at “adult and concession” turnstiles to ensure supporters only scan their ticket once.
Where do I scan my ticket?
Supporters entering via an “adult and concession” turnstile will have their ticket scanned by a steward positioned in front of the entrance to the turnstiles, after which they should proceed forwards, push the turnstile and enter the stadium.
Fans entering through an “adult only” turnstile will self-scan their ticket, as they have in previous seasons, and enter through the turnstile.
How do I upgrade my concession ticket?
Baggies supporters are encouraged to check they have purchased the correct category of ticket before attending matches at The Hawthorns.

What happens if I have the incorrect ticket?
Should stewards identify someone incorrectly using a concession ticket, entry to the game will be blocked and the individual will be directed to the East Stand Ticket Office, where they can upgrade to the correct category and enter the stadium.
If this happens for a second time, the supporter will have their ticket account suspended.
These measures will also be implemented at away turnstiles, where the club has also identified concession ticket misuse.
To avoid any issues entering the stadium, supporters are urged to purchase the correct ticket.
Why has the club introduced measures to tackle concession ticket misuse?
Under the Unauthorised Entry to Football Matches Act 2026, which came into force in March, it is now a criminal offence to enter The Hawthorns with the incorrect category of ticket.
Albion remain proud of the pricing on offer at The Hawthorns, where some of the best value concessionary tickets in English football are available. However, keeping concessionary prices affordable depends on supporters purchasing the correct category of ticket.
The club believes concession ticket misuse is wholly unfair on the vast majority of supporters who pay the correct price.
Guidance for disabled supporters
The club is firmly committed to ensuring all supporters are treated fairly and respectfully. Albion remain fully committed to accessibility and inclusion and wish to make it clear that the measures introduced to address the misuse of concession tickets are intended solely to protect the integrity of the ticketing scheme and are not designed to discriminate against, disadvantage or deter disabled supporters, nor to restrict their access to the stadium.
Disabled supporters and their Personal Assistants can enter the stadium via accessibility entrances in each stand. Alternatively, where it is possible for them to do so, disabled supporters can enter via a turnstile. Adult disabled supporters can enter via an "adult only" or "adult & concession" turnstile, while disabled fans who purchase a concession ticket, such as children, should enter via an "adult & concession" turnstile.
