Albion Women Interim Head Coach Charlie Fripp says he was “buzzing” with his side's away win over Norwich City after reaching a 10-game winning streak.
Albion took a first-half lead when Monique Robinson converted from the penalty spot to notch her eighth goal in all competitions.
Creative force Riya Mannu added to the scoreline in the second half, with an emphatic effort into the top corner from 20 yards out for her second of the campaign - and Fripp was quick to praise the attacking duo.
He said: “We’ve got special players and we’ve got quality players all over the pitch. I think Monique Robinson's done really well in the past couple of weeks and she’s really showing what player she can be.
"We all know the class of Riya Mannu too, I’m buzzing for both of them. The back line are probably the unsung heroes. It’s quite special scoring goals as we do, but all the defenders that we’ve got and the back five - four today - they’re all solid, and I couldn’t ask for anymore.
"I thought the girls did incredibly well. We matched them to their physicality and what they wanted to do.
“Not many people come here and get three points, so I’m buzzing for us, and I’m buzzing for the team to come here and do that.”
Scorer of an early Goal of the Season contender, Mannu, believes "togetherness" has been key to their recent run of form, which could stretch to 11 matches won on the bounce should they win their Adobe Women's FA Cup first-round tie next weekend.
She said: “It was all about getting three points today. It’s a very tough place to come; a lot of teams struggle here, so the togetherness was really good from the group today.
“We went toe to toe with them in terms of physicality. We won all our duels and individual battles, we pressed really well in the second half.
“I didn’t think they could really handle how we were causing them problems, so we handled the situation really well.”
