West Bromwich Albion are back The Hawthorns for the second time in four days on Saturday, with James Morrison's men hosting Watford on matchday five in the Sky Bet Championship (ko 3pm).
The Baggies delivered a dominant display against Charlton Athletic in front of their own supporters on Wednesday, but were ultimately left frustrated as the Addicks stole a point.
Visitors Watford have had a mixed start to the 2026/27 campaign, winning two, drawing two and losing two of their first six matches in all competitions. The Hornets were beaten 2-0 at Swansea City on Tuesday night, a result which pushed their winless run to four games.
The two teams met as recently as late April. Albion ran out comfortable 3-0 winners that evening thanks to efforts from Isaac Price, Daryl Dike and Danny Imray.

The visitors
Watford head to The Hawthorns this weekend hoping to end their four-match winless run.
The Hornets claimed home triumphs over Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup and Southampton in the Sky Bet Championship in their first two games of the 2026/27 campaign, but have since gone on to draw with Wrexham and West Ham, and lose to Peterborough United and Swansea City.
Saturday's opponents will be determined to finish inside the top half of the second tier this season following three successive finishes in the bottom 12.
They've struggled for consistency in recent times and will want to address that this time around - something which new boss Alessio Dionisi has been tasked with by those running the club. The 46-year-old Italian has a bulky managerial CV having also taken charge of Venezia, Empoli twice, Sassuolo and Palermo among others lower down the pyramid in his homeland. His current job is his first in England and first outside of Italy.
Their defeat at Swansea in midweek was their only second-tier setback so far, and Watford have already shown that they can mix it with teams expected to do well such as the Saints, the Hammers and the Red Dragons.
The Hornets will, however, know the importance of getting back to winning ways. The men from Vicarage Road have won just one of their last 12 league games - a record Dionisi and his group are desperate to change, starting this Saturday in the West Midlands.

There were five different scorers on that particular afternoon, with Jonas Olsson, Graham Dorrans, Luke Moore, Gianni Zuiverloon and Simon Cox all on target.

Albion have the chance to go seven home matches unbeaten against Watford this weekend (W3, D3). They also have an opportunity to secure a third straight home win over the Hornets having beaten them 3-0 in April 2026 and 2-1 in April 2025.
There have been at least three goals scored in all of the last seven head-to-head matches. There's been a total of 25 goals in those seven fixtures.

Albion are excited to welcome supporters back to The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy before, during and after the encounter with the Hornets.
Fan Zone
The Fan Zone, located opposite the West Stand and Birmingham Road End corner in the Greggs car park, will be open from midday until 2.45pm. Supporters of both clubs with a valid match ticket are welcome to attend for free.
A wide range of entertainment will be on offer, including live music from Tom from West Brom and two inflatable challenges put on by The Albion Foundation. Fans can also put their skills to the test with a Rodeo Football challenge, with the supporter who records the longest time of the day winning a framed, signed 2025/26 Albion shirt - T&Cs apply.
A giant Connect Four and interactive shooting inflatable will also be available.
There’s some live football to watch on the big screen – A Lancashire derby between Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers at Deepdale in the Sky Bet Championship.
Baggies fans can stock up on official merchandise for the 2026/27 campaign, with two retail wardrobes provided by the club shop present in the Fan Zone this weekend. The club shop will be open from 9.00am until kick-off, before reopening after the final whistle for up to 60 minutes.
Supporters will continue to enjoy a brand-new food and drink offering this season, following the club’s new partnership with Freemans Event Partners - an award-winning event provider working with some of the UK and Europe’s most prestigious venues and stadia to deliver outstanding fan and spectator experiences.
In the Fan Zone, fans can tuck into Safra African cuisine, classic matchday favourites and wood-fired pizza, while those with a sweet tooth can enjoy a late-summer treat from the ice cream van.
Two bars will be open throughout the afternoon ahead of kick-off, giving fans the chance to grab a drink, take a seat and soak up the pre-match atmosphere before heading into the stadium.
The Fan Zone will feature a designated seating area with tables and benches, providing space to sit, eat and enjoy the pre-match entertainment. Two toilets and one accessible toilet will also be available.
Family Stand Activities
The activities will continue inside The Hawthorns, with two dedicated coves in the West Stand concourse, featuring a Basketball Arcade and a Reaction Catch the Stick Game, for supporters to enjoy before kick-off and at half-time.
Refreshments outside The Hawthorns
The new food and drink offering will also extend beyond the Fan Zone, with three additional concession units located around the exterior of The Hawthorns.
Supporters can find the units outside the East Stand and the home and away section of the Smethwick End, with all three serving a selection of matchday classics, including burgers and hot dogs.
New matchday specials arrive at The Hawthorns
Albion are delighted to introduce a brand-new range of matchday specials, available for supporters to enjoy throughout the 2026/27 season at The Hawthorns.
As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the supporter experience, the Baggies' in-house catering team has developed a series of upgraded food offerings designed to bring even more flavour to matchdays in B71.
Following the recent success of winning gold for Overall Matchday Hospitality Experience at the Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards, the team is continuing to focus on delivering improvements across both the club’s hospitality areas and the general concourse experience.
The specials will run for two to three home fixtures at a time, rotating throughout the season to give supporters a wider variety of options alongside the usual matchday favourites.
For Albion’s opening three home games against Burnley, Charlton Athletic and Watford, supporters in the East Stand, Birmingham Road and West Stand will be able to purchase the new BBQ & Ranch Drizzle Stack.
In addition to the rotating specials, a new ‘Panjabi Grill’ Chicken Tikka & Fries will be available throughout the season across all four stands, bringing authentic Punjabi flavours to matchdays at The Hawthorns.
Both the matchday specials and the chicken tikka & fries will be priced at £8.50 and available to purchase from the moment turnstiles open.
Supporters are encouraged to arrive early, as only a limited number of specials will be prepared for each fixture.
Further dishes will be revealed across the course of the campaign, giving supporters even more to look forward to on every visit to The Hawthorns.
Hawthorns Helpers
Look out for our Hawthorns Helpers around the Hawthorns on Saturday!
Wearing their bright pink uniforms and carrying 'Here to Help' flags, the team will be positioned at key points around the stadium to assist with directions, answer questions and help supporters throughout their matchday journey.
Post-match bar
The post-match bar will be open once again this season. Entry is free for all home ticket holders, with the bar staying open for 90 minutes after the full-time whistle.
Supporters can enjoy some more live music, and there’s also some Premier League football to take in on the screens – Hull City’s battle with Aston Villa (ko 5.30pm).

Young Baggies can now select a free piece of fruit in the family stand (West Stand).
The club has also built two new refreshment kiosks in the Birmingham Road stand concourse, with the primary aim of providing fans with increased access to draught beer, soft drinks and hot beverages, easing congestion in the central area.
Phone charging stations provided by FUZE will continue to be in place around The Hawthorns. Supporters can take advantage of free charging using the code 'CHARGEUP2026'. The code can be used by anyone at checkout and is available on a one-per-person basis.
Sensory packs and ear defenders will also be available to purchase from the club shop, helping supporters who may benefit from additional sensory support to feel more comfortable throughout their matchday. Simply speak to a member of the club shop team to request one.
