West Bromwich Albion travel to The Racecourse Ground for a Sky Bet Championship showdown with Wrexham on Tuesday night (ko 7.45pm).
The Baggies will be determined to deliver a much improved showing in North Wales having suffered back-to-back league defeats for the first time since January. James Morrison's men were beaten 1-0 at home by Birmingham City on Saturday lunchtime.
Hosts Wrexham, now into their second season in the second tier, drew 1-1 at Derby County at the weekend with Oliver Rathbone registering a late equaliser in the East Midlands.
The two fixtures in 2025/26 between the two teams were lively encounters. Albion won 3-2 in Wales in August 2025 before drawing 2-2 against the Red Dragons at The Hawthorns in April.

The hosts
Wrexham will be on the hunt for their third Sky Bet Championship triumph of the campaign on Tuesday night and will be buoyed by their victory over Southampton in their last home match and their late leveller at Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Dragons, who narrowly missed out on a top-six spot last season, will once again have their sights set on securing the opportunity to earn promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in 2026/27.
The Welsh outfit have made a steady start to proceedings this time around, winning two, drawing five and losing two of their first nine fixtures in the second tier, meaning they head into the midweek battle with the Baggies on 11 points and hoping to extend their unbeaten run to three.
Phil Parkinson's team have been incredibly strong at The Racecourse Ground over the last few years and rarely fail to score. They've hit the back of the net in 37 of their last 38 home matches in all competitions, and in all of the last 13.
Parkinson, who has a wealth of managerial experience, took the job in July 2021, making him the longest-serving boss in the second tier and the third longest-serving gaffer in the whole of the EFL behind Andy Woodman and Nigel Clough. The 58-year-old, who has also held the same position at Colchester United, Hull City, Charlton Athletic, Bradford City, Bolton Wanderers and Sunderland, is approaching 300 games in charge of Wrexham and has led them to three promotions from the National League all the way up to the Championship.

Classic clash
Albion's one and only previous league visit to Wrexham was a successful one in August 2025.
Isaac Price bagged a brace, while Jed Wallace also hit the back of the net at The Racecourse Ground. Lewis O'Brien and Sam Smith scored for the hosts, but it was the Baggies who were celebrating an eye-catching triumph in what was the second league game of the 2025/26 term.

Did you know...?
Albion and Wrexham are going head-to-head for just the fourth time in a competitive game on Tuesday. Both teams have won one each, with the other encounter ending in a draw.
Wrexham have scored in all of their last 13 home games in all competitions. The last team to prevent Tuesday's hosts registering a goal in front of their own supporters was Millwall back in early February, with the Lions winning 2-0 in the second tier.
Red Dragons' boss Phil Parkinson will be coming up against West Bromwich Albion for the seventh time in his managerial career. He's won two, drawn one and lost three of his previous six battles with the Baggies.
James Morrison will be going into battle with Wrexham for the second time in his managerial career. Watford are the only other team Morrison has faced more than once as a boss.
None of Albion's last eight away games in all competitions have ended level (W4, L4). The last time the Baggies drew a match on their travels was back in April when a trip to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship ended goalless.
Colours for our travels
Albion will wear their blue third kit in Wales on Tuesday night.
It will be just the second time James Morrison's men have donned the strip having also played in it up at Middlesbrough in August.
