West Bromwich Albion will have their sights set on securing a third straight Sky Bet Championship victory when QPR come to The Hawthorns on Saturday lunchtime (ko 12.30pm).
The Baggies head into the encounter high on confidence following back-to-back 1-0 successes over Watford last weekend and Derby County on Wednesday night - results which helped send James Morrison's men to the top of the second-tier table at this early stage of the campaign.
Visitors QPR have also enjoyed an impressive opening to the 2026/27 term and sit on 11 points from their first six matches. They drew 0-0 at Charlton Athletic in midweek.
The home side secured all three points in both fixtures in 2025/26, with QPR winning 3-1 in early December and Albion claiming a 2-1 triumph later that month.

The visitors
QPR have made an eye-catching start to the season and head to The Hawthorns inside the top four.
The R's, now into their 12th consecutive year in the Sky Bet Championship, have won three (Portsmouth 3-1, Blackburn Rovers 2-1 and Cardiff City 2-1), drawn two (Bolton Wanderers 0-0 and Charlton Athletic 0-0) and lost just one (Middlesbrough 1-0) of their opening six matches in the second tier - picking up 11 points in the process.
They were defeated on home soil by Boro and held to a goalless draw at The Valley in their two most recent fixtures, and the Londoners will want to avoid going three straight games without scoring a goal.
They'll be buoyed by their results away from Loftus Road at the beginning of the term. They've collected seven points from their first three on the road and will be determined to extend their unbeaten run on their travels to four on Saturday afternoon in the West Midlands.
Frenchman Julian Stephan, 45, is now into his second season in charge of the club having been appointed last summer. He guided the R's to a 15th-placed finish in 2025/26 and will be targeting an improved position come May 2027. Stephan, son of Guy Stephan who worked as France's assistant manager at a number of recent international tournaments, has previous experience in the leading coaching role at Rennes and Strasbourg in his homeland.
He's won 19, drawn 13 and lost 23 of his 55 fixtures in charge of this weekend's opponents.

Albion are excited to welcome supporters back to The Hawthorns on Saturday lunchtime.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy before, during and after the encounter with the R's.
Fan Zone
The Fan Zone, located opposite the West Stand and Birmingham Road End corner in the Greggs car park, will be open from 9.30am until 12.15pm. Supporters of both clubs with a valid match ticket are welcome to attend for free.
A wide range of entertainment will be on offer, including live music from Call Me Unique, inflatable challenges put on by The Albion Foundation and interactive basketball and giant dartboard inflatables. Supporters can also watch highlights of Albion matches so far in 2026/27 on the big screen.
Baggies fans can stock up on official merchandise, with two retail wardrobes provided by the club shop present in the Fan Zone this weekend. The club shop will be open from 9am until kick-off, before reopening after the final whistle for up to 60 minutes.
Supporters will continue to enjoy a brand new food and drink offering this season, following the club’s new partnership with Freemans Event Partners - an award-winning event provider working with some of the UK and Europe’s most prestigious venues and stadia to deliver outstanding fan and spectator experiences.
Fans can tuck into slow cooked pulled brisket, burgers and loaded fries, while those with a sweet tooth can enjoy a late-summer treat from the ice cream van or a wide selection of pick and mix sweets.
Three bars will be open throughout the morning ahead of kick-off, giving fans the chance to grab a drink, take a seat and soak up the pre-match atmosphere before heading into the stadium.
The Fan Zone will feature a designated seating area with tables and benches, providing space to sit, eat and enjoy the pre-match entertainment. Two toilets and one accessible toilet will also be available.
Family Stand activities
The activities will continue inside The Hawthorns, with two dedicated coves in the West Stand concourse, featuring a batak reaction game and carnival challenges for supporters to enjoy before kick-off and during the interval.
Refreshments outside The Hawthorns
The food and drink offering will to extend beyond the Fan Zone, with three additional concession units located around the exterior of The Hawthorns.
Supporters can find the units outside the East stand, and the home and away section of the Smethwick End.
A selection of matchday classics, including burgers and hot dogs will be served outside the Smethwick End, with Philly steak subs and fries dished up outside the East Stand.
New matchday specials at The Hawthorns
Albion are delighted to introduce a brand new range of matchday specials, available for supporters to enjoy throughout the 2026/27 season at The Hawthorns.
As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the supporter experience, the Baggies' in-house catering team has developed a series of upgraded food offerings designed to bring even more flavour to matchdays in B71.
Following the recent success of winning gold for Overall Matchday Hospitality Experience at the Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards, the team is continuing to focus on delivering improvements across both the club’s hospitality areas and the general concourse experience.
The specials will run for two to three home fixtures at a time, rotating throughout the season to give supporters a wider variety of options alongside the usual matchday favourites.
For Albion’s home encounters with QPR, Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers, supporters in the East Stand, Birmingham Road End and West Stand will be able to purchase the new loaded chilli nachos.
In addition to the rotating specials, a new ‘Panjabi Grill’ chicken tikka & fries will be available throughout the season across all four stands, bringing authentic Punjabi flavours to matchdays at The Hawthorns.
Both the matchday specials and the chicken tikka & fries will be priced at £8.50 and available to purchase from the moment turnstiles open.
Supporters are encouraged to arrive early, as only a limited number of specials will be prepared for each fixture.
Further dishes will be revealed across the course of the campaign, giving supporters even more to look forward to on every visit to The Hawthorns.
Hawthorns helpers
Lookout for our Hawthorns Helpers around the ground on Saturday.
Wearing their bright pink uniforms and carrying 'Here to Help' flags, the team will be positioned at key points around the stadium to assist with directions, answer questions and help supporters throughout their matchday journey.
Post-match entertainment
The post-match bar will be open again once again this term. Entry is free for all season ticket holders, with the bar staying open for 90 minutes after the full-time whistle.
The Fan Zone will also open after the contest with the Londoners. Supporters are invited back to enjoy food, drinks and music.
Additional information
Young Baggies can now select a free piece of fruit across all stands at The Hawthorns, extending the initiative beyond the Family Stand for the rest of the season.
The club has also built two new refreshment kiosks in the Birmingham Road stand concourse, with the primary aim of providing fans with increased access to draught beer, soft drinks and hot beverages and easing congestion in the central area.
Phone charging stations provided by FUZE will continue to be in place around The Hawthorns. Supporters can take advantage of free charging using the code 'CHARGEUP2026'. The code can be used by anyone at checkout and is available on a one-per-person basis.
Sensory packs and ear defenders will also be available to purchase from the club shop, helping those who may benefit from additional sensory support to feel more comfortable throughout their matchday. Simply speak to a member of the club shop team to request one.
Andy Gulch will be our Stadium DJ, working behind the scenes to bring our matchday music to life and build the atmosphere across The Hawthorns.

Dedicated Foundation Day fixture
Albion’s Sky Bet Championship clash against QPR this Saturday (September 12, ko 12.30pm) will mark this season’s dedicated Foundation Day fixture.
The club will once again unite with The Albion Foundation to showcase the incredible work they do in the local community - including a particular spotlight on their new five-year ‘Get Behind The Badge’ strategy, which is being launched in the build-up to the game.
There are plenty of plans to make Foundation Day a special occasion. Baggies fans will find a clapper waiting for them at The Hawthorns, and they are encouraged to raise these in the air to create the famous blue and white stripes around the stadium as the players enter the pitch.
Each clapper will also contain a QR code people can scan to find out more about The Foundation, as well as how they can win some fantastic money can’t buy prizes.
Before the game, Foundation staff will be outside the stadium and in the Fan Zone to tell supporters about their work and invite everyone to take part in the Foundation’s match day lottery, Baggies Bonanza, where a cash prize of up to £1,000 is available.
They will also be collecting donations - so fans are encouraged to ‘bring a pound to the ground’ if they can, or donate at any time by texting TAF(AMOUNT) to 70470.
Half-time will see future plans for the Foundation shared on the big screen, and an emotive, shining example of the strategy in action.
Andy Johnson will join them pitchside, too, as the charity recognises his incredible dedication and support following his induction into the Foundation Hall of Fame.
Finally, after the final whistle, all match worn shirts from Foundation Day and the Derby away fixture will be signed and auctioned on the club website. All proceeds will go directly to The Albion Foundation to support them in achieving their goals in the local community.
