This weekend's encounter will be the 125th between the two teams. Albion have the better head-to-head record with 55 victories to Preston's 41. There have also been 28 draws.
PRESTON NORTH END
Preston have won just one of their last 10 home matches in all competitions (D2, L7) - a 2-1 triumph against local rivals Blackburn Rovers in early September. They've lost their last two at Deepdale by 1-0 scorelines to Lincoln City and Millwall.
North End will hoping to keep their first clean sheet since February 7 when they beat Portsmouth 1-0 at home in the Championship. They've conceded in 28 consecutive matches in all competitions.
The Lilywhites are aiming to halt a run of three successive defeats on Saturday. They've been beaten in recent weeks by Millwall (0-1), Birmingham City (4-0) and Wrexham (4-1).
Former player Graham Alexander will be taking charge of his fourth Preston game since being appointed boss in late September. The Scot made over 400 appearances for the Lancashire outfit and will be determined to get his first win having lost all three of his opening encounters. He scored three penalties for Preston against the Albion between 2001 and 2006.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION

Albion have the chance to record three straight league victories for the first time in the same season since a run of four between August and September in 2024. James Morrison's team have come from behind to win their last two games. The Baggies have now won 10 points from losing positions this season, which is the most in the Championship heading into matchweek 12.
Albion will be aiming to secure consecutive away league wins for the first time since the opening two away trips of the 2025/26 when they won at Wrexham and Stoke City. All of their last three away triumphs in the second tier have been followed up by a defeat.
