Remembering Laurie Cunningham
The club's matchday programme, Albion News, is dedicated to the great Laurie Cunningham on Saturday.
Cunningham, a true icon of the game, made over a century of appearances for the Baggies in the 70s and had two spells at Rayo Vallecano in the mid-to-late 80s.
Albion historian Dave Bowler has written a special tribute to the former England international, a tribute which you can read inside the eight-page edition this weekend.
Copies can be purchased for just £2.
Laurie's son Sergio is also a special guest in the boardroom at The Hawthorns. The club will make a special presentation to him at half-time.

The opponents
Rayo Vallecano qualified for European football for just the second time in their history last season.
The side from Vallecas, a district on the south side of Spanish capital Madrid, earned a point of the final day of the 2024/25 term at home to Mallorca to secure eighth position and a spot in the UEFA Conference League play-offs.
Their only other venture into Europe was way back in the 2000/01 campaign when they reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup before being knocked out by fellow Spanish outfit Alaves.
Rayo, nicknamed 'Franjirrojos' (the Red Stripes), will be competing in Spain's top tier for the fifth year running having won promotion back in 2021. They're a club who have regularly earned promotion and suffered relegation in the 21st century, rising up on four separate occasions and sliding down a division four times too.
This weekend's guests are managed by 37-year-old Iñigo Pérez, who took charge in February 2024. The former Athletic Bilbao, Huesca, Mallorca, Numancia and Osasuna midfielder retired at the age of 34 and went on to become part of the coaching staff at Vallecano under Andoni Iraola - a former team-mate of his at Athletic Bilbao - before later accepting the main position after a short spell away.
Baggies legend Laurie Cunningham had two spells at Rayo, scoring the winning goal which helped them secure promotion back to the top flight in 1988/89 - just weeks before he tragically passed away.
Other notable players to have represented the club include Hugo Sanchez, Radamel Falcao, Diego Costa, Alvaro Negredo and James Rodriguez, while current captain Óscar Trejo - a 37-year-old Argentinian midfielder - is Vallecano's second-highest appearance maker having played over 300 times.
They've drawn 1-1 against Genk of Belgium and beaten Dutch side PEC Zwolle 5-0 so far in pre-season. Pérez's team are also set to come up against Sunderland next weekend at the Stadium of Light, before their domestic campaign starts on Friday, August 15 at Girona.

Fan Zone
Please note, the Fan Zone will not be in operation for Saturday's match against Rayo Vallecano.
However, it will be open when Albion host Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship next weekend.
