Albion 0-0 Millwall

Albion collected another Sky Bet Championship point at home to Millwall on Friday night.

There were opportunities at both ends of the pitch, but they weren't converted - as the two sides were left to mull a fourth consecutive goalless meeting at The Hawthorns.

The two teams exchanged blows in the early stages. Thierno Ballo chipped Mihalo Ivanovic’s through ball into the side-netting before Daryl Dike met Callum Styles’ corner, only to see his headed effort miss the target.

Though it was the visitors who had the best opportunity in the first period when Josh Coburn latched onto Ballo’s dangerous delivery, and instead of side-footing on target, prodded wide of the mark.

Instead, it was his strike partner, Ivanovic, who came the closest as the first half drew to a close. He latched onto a loose ball in the centre of the park and drove a dipping effort onto Max O’Leary’s crossbar.

Zak Sturge opened the second period by arrowing past the post, before Dike, again an aerial threat, nodded a deep cross over at the back post.

The Baggies had a flurry of efforts around the hour mark through George Campbell and Jayson Molumby, but neither could find the target as the game trundled into its final stages.

The hosts could’ve won it in the final stages, as Molumby saw his close-range strike find a brave block from goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, and Ousmane Diakité placed a header agonisingly wide.

But it wasn’t to be for Albion, who still took a share of the spoils to show for their second-tier efforts at the Shrine.
