Robinson delivers Man of the Match display against Portugal

ROI Portugal

Callum Robinson was voted ‘Player of the Match’ on Thursday night as his Republic of Ireland side held Portugal to a creditable goalless draw in FIFA World Cup qualifying.

The Baggies man produced an impressive display at the Aviva Stadium, completing the full 90 minutes against Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Pepe and co.

Robinson was involved in an altercation with veteran defender Pepe towards the end of the night, with the former Real Madrid man shown a second yellow card for raising an arm to the face of the Albion forward.

Callum and Ireland will be back in action on Sunday night when they travel to Luxembourg for their final game of qualification.
