The Albion Foundation proudly hosted its annual Golf Day at Sandwell Park Golf Club, bringing together partners, supporters and friends of the Foundation for a memorable day of sport, community and fundraising. Blessed with excellent weather and a fantastic atmosphere throughout, the event once again demonstrated the power of collaboration, raising an impressive £8,700 to support the Foundation’s work across the region.

A total of 17 teams took part in this year’s competition, representing a wide range of organisations and long-standing supporters. Teams included CSCM, CPC Civils, Pukka Pies, Sunbelt Rentals, Bache Group, Sanderlings, Molson Coors, Hall Financial Planners, CIS FM, BHP Design, WBA Supporters’ Golf Society, Bennett Whitehouse Chartered Accountants, Ryecroft Old Boys, DCD Plastering, The Queens Head, and WBA Former Players Association. Their enthusiasm and generosity were at the heart of the day’s success.

The event began with registration, where participants were welcomed with Albion Foundation tee-shirts, breakfast baps and the ever-popular tee auction. The tone of the day was a mix of friendly rivalry and charitable spirit. A group photograph followed before all teams made their way onto the course for a shotgun start.

Players enjoyed a full day of golf in the sunshine, with Sandwell Park Golf Club providing the perfect backdrop. The course was filled with energy and camaraderie as teams competed throughout the round. Midway through the day, participants were treated to refreshments, including drinks and Pukka Pie sausage rolls, keeping spirits high ahead of the final few holes.

The event concluded with an evening presentation that brought everyone together to celebrate the day’s achievements. Guests enjoyed an evening meal while reflecting on a successful event both on and off the course. A key highlight of the evening was a Foundation overview video, showcasing the impact of the charity’s work over the past three months- highlighting programmes that support local communities, promote wellbeing and provide opportunities for those who need it most.

A lively auction and prize presentation followed, adding to the total funds raised and recognising the efforts of teams across the course. The generosity shown by attendees throughout the day and evening played a vital role in reaching the £8,700 total, which will go directly towards supporting the Foundation’s life-changing work.
