BHP Design celebrates ten years of Albion Foundation partnership with Himalayan Trek pledge
The Albion Foundation is proud to celebrate ten years of partnership with BHP Design, with the milestone marked by a further pledge towards the charity’s Dalai Lama Himalayan Trek in India.
The anniversary provides an opportunity to recognise BHP Design and Dave Bloxham’s longstanding commitment to the Foundation, helping it continue to make a difference across local communities through financial contributions, personal involvement and a shared passion for changing lives.
The Birmingham-based architectural practice has supported The Albion Foundation’s work for the past decade, helping programmes including Active Lifestyles, junior football and disability football continue to have a positive impact across the community. That breadth of involvement reflects Dave’s enthusiasm for learning more about the charity and the people it serves.
Dave Bloxham, of BHP Design, said:
"We’re lifelong West Bromwich Albion fans, but having looked at what the Foundation does for the community, we’re very proud to be involved. Long may that relationship continue.
"Every year, I find a new avenue of work that the Foundation delivers in the community. I like to spread our contribution across those different areas."
To mark ten years together, BHP Design has pledged additional funds towards the Foundation’s fundraising efforts through its Dalai Lama Himalayan Trek.
The challenge takes participants into the Indian Himalayas, exploring remote landscapes around Dharamsala, home of the Dalai Lama. Trekkers will cover an average of 15 to 20 kilometres each day and reach altitudes of up to 3,000 metres, raising vital funds to help the Foundation continue changing lives across the Black Country and wider region.
For Dave, the motivation behind the pledge remains the same as it has throughout the partnership: helping the Foundation continue making a difference in its community.
"We’re very proud to be involved in what the Foundation does," he said. "We’re not looking for any credit for the contribution. We just want to be sure the Foundation can continue making a difference across our community."
Jonathan Ward, Deputy Director of The Albion Foundation, said:
"Dave and everyone at BHP Design have been a huge part of our journey over the last ten years. What makes this partnership special is the genuine interest they take in our work and the people we support. They give their time, get involved and are always keen to understand where they can make a difference.
"Their additional pledge towards our Himalayan Trek is another example of that generosity and a wonderful way to celebrate this milestone. Quite simply, we couldn’t make the impact we do without people like Dave and partners like BHP Design. We’re incredibly grateful for their continued commitment and proud to have them as part of the Albion family."
As the Foundation celebrates the partnership, Dave hopes more businesses and supporters will take the opportunity to learn about its work and discover how they can get involved.
"Look at what they do. Take notice of it," he added. "Get involved wherever you can, financially, emotionally or physically. It’s a wonderful community that’s been built."
The Albion Foundation would like to thank Dave and everyone at BHP Design for ten years of generosity, commitment and belief in its work, and looks forward to continuing that journey together for many years to come.
