Albion's Under-18s were defeated by local rivals Birmingham City in the U18 PL Cup on Saturday afternoon.
A two-goal margin separated Peter Gilbert's side from their City counterparts at the Albion training ground, as Rico Patterson and Brandon Khela secured all three points for the visitors.
The defeat means the young Baggies have now lost three of their last five games in all competitions and sitting third-bottom in the U18 Premier League table.
But they will have the chance to bounce back when they host Southampton's Under-18s on Saturday, October 23, as they look to secure their third win of the campaign when they return to league action.
