Rabby Nzingoula believes the “best version” of himself is still to come but admits he’s loving life at the Albion.
The French midfielder, who joined the club in the summer from Strasbourg, made his second league start of the 2026/27 term on Saturday as the Baggies drew 1-1 with QPR at The Hawthorns.
Nzingoula has caught the eye in his first month and has quickly built up a strong relationship with the supporters.
Rabby admits he’s still trying to find his “best level”, but is adamant he’ll be able to showcase that in the near future having added another 75 minutes of Sky Bet Championship football to his tank this weekend.
The 20-year-old said: “It was a great game against a great team today. I think we played well. We made some good chances against a good team who can play.
“I think we did the job that we had to do. We fell behind, but we came back to get a draw. Of course, we would have liked all three points, but I think we played really well, especially after a tough period with lots of matches.
“Every point matters, so it’s a good point.
“To be honest, we weren’t too disappointed to go 1-0 down because we believe in the team and I believe in the team. We know what our strengths are and we knew that we could come back.
“Thankfully we managed to do that and it’s always really good to respond straight away after losing a goal.
“I think I did pretty well today, but I know I can do better. I’m still trying to find my best level. I know I can do well on the right side and I know the coach has trust in me. It wasn’t my best performance, but I’m still trying to give my best for the team.
“I think there is a lot still to come from me. I feel as though I’ve done pretty well in my first few games, but I’m still trying to find my maximum level and I’m still trying to fully understand my team-mates. I think the best version of me is coming.
“I’m really proud and really happy about the relationship I have with the supporters already. I think it’s also because of my personality – I want to be close with my team and with the fans.
“I really enjoy myself here. I think we have some really good lads in the team. It’s been really easy for me to fit into the group. They’ve really helped bring me into the team.”
