Albion’s pre-season trip to Austria concluded with a competitive 1-1 draw against Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kyiv on Friday afternoon.

Dynamo Kyiv - who begin their Champions League qualifying campaign later in the month - grew into the game, going closest when Joe Wildsmith pushed away Vladyslav Kabayev’s powerful effort.
As the half came to an end, the Baggies almost netted an opener through Price again. A good Tom Fellows run and cross found the attacking midfielder, however he could only volley straight at the goalkeeper.
Albion carried on their search for a goal straight after the break, immediately threatening via Torbjorn Heggem’s flick, which was cleared off the line.
But the breakthrough did finally arrive in the 57th minute. Substitute Mikey Johnston whipped a fantastic cross towards new recruit Phillips, and he hammered his header home.
Head Coach Mason made 10 substitutions throughout the second period, using the friendly to see as many players as he could.
His changed side conceded during the final stages, Vanat converting low inside the area following sustained Dynamo Kyiv pressure - ensuring the match ended level in Burgenland.
