The Albion Foundation’s Pan-Disability U16s team won the Gunnersbury Cup on Sunday, July 6.
The Gunnersbury Cup is an inclusive grassroots festival hosted by the Brentford FC Community Sports Trust across five days, with over 2,000 players taking part across several different tournaments.
Albion’s Pan-Disability side triumphed in the U16 competition at the Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub in West London, and Tom Lane, Wellbeing Coordinator was delighted to see his team enjoy the experience.

“The players had a fantastic day and played some great football,” Tom said. “They represented us as a Foundation superbly well with their attitude, commitment and team spirit.
“It was great to take the team down to West London to experience a first trip to London for many of the players as well as playing against new teams such as Chelsea and Brentford.
“We are really proud of the team for showing real resilience and bringing the trophy back home. Especially after some really tough group stage games, it took pride of place on the bus back to B71.”
A huge congratulations on your fantastic efforts, team!
