New Zealand U20s action for young Albion pair

Albion youngsters Joe Wallis and Noah DuPont returned to the international stage for New Zealand during their summer trip to Chile.

It marked Wallis' first call-up to his nation's youth team since signing for the Baggies last season, while recently-turned pro DuPont made his debut for the Kiwis' U20 side as they continued preparations for the FIFA World Cup in September with a double-header against the tournament hosts.

Both the 20-year-old shot-stopper and 17-year-old centre-half started the first game on June 4 in Santiago (a 3-1 defeat), and while Joe was an unused in the second match three days later, Noah also played 45 minutes after the halfway mark in a clash which the All Whites, unfortunately, lost again to Chile (2-1).

Nevertheless, it provided more invaluable minutes for Albion's New Zealand duo on the world stage following a successful 2024/25 season at The Hawthorns.

Another of Wallis and DuPont's young club colleagues, Alex Williams, also started for his nation at the start of June.

Wales' 21s played Norway as part of their summer international camp in Malaga (Spain), with the Baggies right-back playing the entirety of their friendly encounter but, sadly, it ended in defeat for Alex and the young Dragons as they lost 4-0.

Finally, scholar Adam Letlat also featured on the international front.

Having represented Morocco last term at U17 level in March 2025, the left-back has since switched allegiances - allowing him to play for Algeria's U20 team during their recent meet-up in June.

The 16-year-old's training camp in North Africa concluded with him playing 45 minutes in a friendly against Tunisia, which Letlat's nation won 2-1.
