Alex Mowatt’s sensational strike at Cardiff City has won the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month award for September.
The midfielder rifled home a thunderous half-volley into the top corner during Albion’s impressive 4-0 win in South Wales, a goal so special it was applauded by the Cardiff supporters.
Mowatt’s exceptional effort won with 58.6 per cent of the final vote, seeing off competition from Reading’s Tom Dele-Bashiru (22.5 per cent) and Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic (18.9 per cent).
