Thanks for the generous donation from Mega Riches for the hospitality tickets in The Richardson for the WBA vs Hull match, we were able to gift this special experience to Bethany and her guest - who together raised an incredible £1,127 for The Albion Foundation.
Bethany said, "We had a great time! We were excited the whole day and really enjoyed the Richardson suite. We had the best experience at West Bromwich Albion and to top it off WBA won the game! Thank you again to Mega Riches & West Bromwich Albion for giving us that opportunity, we had the best time".
This match was a particularly special one for Bethany and her guest to experience, as it also happened to be our annual Foundation Day fixture. This year's occasion shone a spotlight on the Cancer Kickers Programme, celebrating its impact and raised awareness of cancer, early intervention and the power of staying active throughout treatment and recovery.
There were representatives from Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, Prostate Cancer UK, Trust in Care, Macmillan and Let's Talk Hope on the Fanzone, offering guidance and support. Former Albion favourite, Andy Johnson, also had his head shaved live, in partnership with BarberBoss, raising funds and awareness of the cause.
At half-time, fans were able to watch the Cancer Kickers take to the pitch in a walking football fixture against a team of Albion Legends, including Bob Taylor, Brendan Batson, and Andy Johnson.
It is thanks to supporters of The Albion Foundation, like Bethany and her guest, that we are able to deliver such meaningful and impactful programmes across Sandwell. What a special fixture for them to be part of, thanks to Mega Riches!
