Hindolo Mustapha insists he’s “eager to get going” at The Hawthorns after his loan switch from Crystal Palace on deadline day.

The attacking midfielder made the move from Selhurst Park until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, with the aim of helping Eric Ramsay’s Baggies turn their season around.

Mustapha, who has been capped three times by Sierra Leone, fully understands the scenario that the club finds itself in, and wants to “make an impact” in the 16 remaining Sky Bet Championship matches.

Hindolo said: “I’m more than excited to be here. I’m happy to be in the building and just eager to get going.

“I got told about the move in the morning on deadline day, and when I was told, I was buzzing – I just want to get started straight away.

“Obviously, coming into the Championship is a huge chance for me to impress, so the exposure to that type of football was a big draw. I just want to come in and make an impact.

“The coaches have been great so far, the players are good too. On and off the pitch so far, they’ve been nice to talk to and they’ve welcomed me in.

“The environment’s good here, and everyone’s determined to turn this around. I’m more than eager to get out there and show myself.

“As a player, I would say I’m fast, strong and creative on the ball. I just want to get on the front foot and make things happen in the final third.

“I’m aware of the situation that we’re in currently. We know it’s not where we want to be in the league, but coming in, I want to try and make an impact to get us out of there.

“I can’t wait to get out on the pitch and I’m ready to go as soon as possible. I’m eager to show the fans what I can do and just get out at The Hawthorns to play in front of them.”
