Albion youngster Dauda Iddrisa has returned to The Hawthorns after Italy Under-17s were knocked out of the FIFA World Cup.

The Baggies academy star scored the goal which sealed the Blues' progression to the semi-finals of the youth competition out in Qatar, beating Uzbekistan 3-2 to set up a last-four clash with Austria on Monday, November 24.

Sadly, it ended in heartbreak for the 17-year-old and his native compatriots as they lost 2-0 to their European counterparts. They did, however, beat Brazil on penalties in the third-place play-off.

Portugal won the tournament, defeating Austria 1-0 in the final.

Iddrisa will now link up with Albion's youth setup once again hoping to carry his positive momentum back into club football, with another chance to impress in this term's FA Youth Cup on the horizon for the U18s.
