Albion Powerchair Player/Coach Chris Gordon has helped England secure a semi-final spot at the EPFA Nations Cup.
Goalkeeper Gordon featured in each of the Para Lions’ group wins against Italy, Scotland, Denmark and the Republic of Ireland in Italy, conceding just one goal.
England play their semi-final clash on Tuesday, September 23 (16:15 CEST) against Group A runners-up Belgium.

The Para Lions’ group opener saw them brush off British rivals Scotland, with a 6-0 win, Aspire forward Dan McLelland scoring five, and former Baggie Dylan Kelsall adding a sixth,
On the same day, England took on hosts Italy and secured a 2-1 victory. Gabriel Mindru opened the scoring for the hosts, before Ed Common and Kelsall completed the turnaround in north-eastern Italy.
Sunday saw more of a routine victory for Adam McEvoy’s team. Denmark were stubborn opponents, but Marcus Harrison was the man to break down the resistance and secure a 1-0 win.
On beating the Danes in Italy, Gordon said: “Ed [Common] and Dylan [Kelsall] had a great impact yesterday from the bench, Dan [McLellen] and Marcus [Harrison] had a good impact again today so the squad’s being used to its full depth.
“We’ve got enough points now to qualify for the World Cup which is always a bonus… now we just need to figure out what teams are doing against us to make it difficult and try to find the answers.”
England also completed a perfect group stage record with a 1-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland on Monday to set up a semi-final tie with Belgium.
