Pukka Night with Bartley and Livermore was truly a night to remember, filled with endless laughs, hilarious stories and of course plenty of tasty Pukka Pies.
Supporters gathered to enjoy a unique evening celebrating football, community, and speak to two great former players. From the moment guests arrived, we had Livermore and Bartley taking photos with over a hundred attendees- many with stories to tell and old photos to share.
Throughout the evening, Bartley and Livermore entertained the room with stories from their careers, sharing both the highs and the humorous lows of life in football. Livermore spoke openly about what the next chapter looks like away from the pitch and his future as a sports agent.
Speaking to some of our Foundation supporters during the evening, Sandra, who regularly attends our Hubs sessions, shared how much she enjoys events like this. She explained that she “loves how informal and relaxed these events are,” adding that it makes everyone feel comfortable and included. Sandra also spoke about her admiration for Bartley and Livermore, praising how talkative and engaged with the audience they were.
The night featured plenty of entertainment, including a raffle draw and an auction, both of which contributed to raising funds for the Foundation. One highlight was a game where Bartley and Livermore competed by answering fun questions decided by the audience. The audience voted using cards, choosing who they thought would be better at different things, like being a pundit or a goalkeeper. Their quick responses and ability to laugh at themselves had giggles throughout the Richardson Suite.
As the evening went on, the pair also shared their thoughts on the modern game, discussing how football has changed and how they now view it from a different perspective. True to their characters, they didn’t shy away from talking about their own mistakes either, openly laughing about moments such as own goals, red cards, and tough lessons learned along the way.
Bartley and Livermore perfectly touched on the importance of the Foundation and the vital role community play in supporting people both on and off the pitch. With great stories, plenty of laughter, and strong community, it was an evening that left a lasting impression.
The event was a great success with the fantastic support of our sponsors, HUBTEL IT and Pukka Pies.
