Baggies Bonanza is having a positive impact both on and off the pitch, giving West Bromwich Albion supporters the chance to win exciting prizes while helping to raise vital funds for The Albion Foundation, the club’s official charity.
The matchday lottery is hosted at every home Sky Bet Championship fixture and allows fans to get involved by purchasing tickets online or from sellers located in and around The Hawthorns. Each draw features a grand cash prize, which is split evenly between the winning supporter and The Albion Foundation, directly supporting the charity’s award‑winning community work across the Sandwell borough.
Launched in late August, Baggies Bonanza has already completed 12 draws, along with two special bonus prize draws. Those bonus draws saw winners receive a signed Albion shirt and two hospitality tickets for the West Bromwich Albion v Southampton fixture. To date, the lottery has generated over £5,000 in prize winnings, providing important funding that helps the Foundation continue delivering its wide range of programmes within the local community.
Recent winners have shared their delight at taking part. Michael, who won the draw at the Leicester City fixture, said:
“I feel really excited at winning the Baggies Bonanza as I have been meaning to play and kept forgetting. When I saw the post on Instagram about playing online it reminded me to have a go. I’ll be planning a trip to the club shop and treating my wife to a meal out with the winnings. I’ll continue to play as all the money raised goes to the good causes via The Foundation.”
Brian was the lucky winner at the Oxford City fixture and revealed it was his first time entering the lottery.
“I haven’t decided yet what I am going to do with the winnings – it will definitely come in very handy for Christmas. If I still have some left over I may treat myself to a new TV in the January sales. By the way, this was the very first Baggies Bonanza ticket that I have ever bought!”
Meanwhile, Ian, who won at the Preston North End fixture, highlighted the wider benefit of taking part.
“Wow, it’s brilliant and such a shock to win the Baggies Bonanza. A complete surprise as I didn’t check my ticket for days afterwards. I used to buy a ticket years ago in the original competition, but now it’s raising funds for the fantastic work The Albion Foundation does, so everyone is a winner.”
