Three Baggies academy graduates made their debuts for their respective loan clubs over the weekend.
Cole Deeming earned his maiden English Football League appearance, completing 90 minutes for Sky Bet League Two outfit Cheltenham Town.
Deeming’s side were beaten 2-0 at home by Grimsby Town on an afternoon where efforts from Kieran Green and Andy Cook were enough to secure all three points for the visitors.
Albion’s 19-year-old midfielder, who enjoyed a short spell at Truro City in the Enterprise National League earlier on in the 2025/26 campaign, won the Robins’ internal Man of the Match award.
The defeat leaves Cheltenham 18th in the fourth tier, ten points clear of trouble after 27 games.
Defender Evan Humphries was also handed a start on Saturday, featuring for Oxford City in their 1-0 home win over AFC Fylde in the Enterprise National League North.
The 20-year-old got 78 minutes of senior action under his belt before being replaced by Jacob Reddy.
The only goal of the game came moments after the hour and was scored by Ewan Clark. The victory leaves Evan’s men two points and one place clear of the relegation zone.
Finally, towering centre-back Jamal Mohammed played the entirety of Gloucester City’s 3-1 home victory over Tiverton Town in the Southern League Premier South.
Goals from Marcus Day, Joe Hanks and Kieran Phillips put the hosts in a commanding position, but the visitors did manage to force a consolation courtesy of Harry Hutchinson in the final minute.
Mohammed’s team are third in the table, two points off second and ten points adrift of the leaders Walton & Hersham.
