Michael Parker celebrates scoring for Hereford with team-mates

Three Baggies youngsters earned more senior minutes for their loan clubs over the weekend.

There were mixed emotions for Michael Parker in his first game back at Hereford FC. The towering defender rejoined the Bulls on a two-month loan deal having spent a month there earlier on in the campaign. 

The 20-year-old was on target on Saturday at South Shields in the Enterprise National League North, however, unfortunately for Parker and Hereford, the hosts claimed a 2-1 win. 

Michael, who completed 90 minutes, made it 1-1 in the 49th minute, finishing off a flowing move with a left-footed first-time strike from just inside the box. Click here to watch the highlights

A Matt Preston own goal in the first 45 and Sean McGurk's second-half effort were enough for South Shields to record all three points. The defeat leaves the Bulls 14th in the table, with the home outfit staying top of the pile.

Attacking midfielder Harry Whitwell also got 90 minutes under his belt, completing the entirety of Forest Green Rovers' 4-2 defeat at Carlisle United in the Enterprise National League. 

The hosts were 2-1 up at the break thanks to Regan Linney's brace, with Jayden Clarke on target at the other end. 

Harvey Bunker made it 2-2 shortly after the break, but Carlisle went on to grab the victory courtesy of late goals from Harvey Macadam and Georgie Kelly. 

Whitwell's men sit fifth in the table, four points off top.

Finally, winger Akeel Higgins came off the bench for Exeter City who lost 1-0 at Stockport County in Sky Bet League One. 

The Albion academy graduate replaced Reece Cole on the hour on an afternoon where Nathan Lowe's 24th-minute strike was enough to seal three points for County. 

Defeat leaves the Grecians 19th in the standings, one point clear of the bottom four with 13 matches played.
