Away from Albion | Maiden goals & late levellers for young Baggies on loan

Four youngsters plied their trade away from The Hawthorns over the weekend.

Midfielder Cole Deeming kicked off the action for Albion's loan players on Friday night, coming on as a 76th-minute substitute for Sky Bet League Two side Cheltenham Town on a dramatic evening for Steve Cotterill's team.

Despite taking the lead in their home fixture against Barrow courtesy of Josh Davison, the Robins found themselves behind by a scoreline of 2-1 prior to Deeming entering the fray later in the second period.

But the Baggies academy product helped the hosts deliver a fightback at The EV Charger Points Stadium, as Isaac Hutchinson netted a leveller in the final minute of regular time to move Town nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, Dan Chimeziri enjoyed a memorable moment in the colours of Rushall Olympic in the Northern Premier League Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.

The striker bagged his first goal for the club to level the contest early in the first half - scrambling in from close range to provide the forward with a much-needed confidence boost following a tough start to the campaign at The Hawthorns.

The teams traded two further goals after the restart, meaning the game finished 2-2 at Dales Lane on Chimeziri's third outing for the Pics.

Youngster Jamal Mohammed maintained his place in Gloucester City's in-form starting XI as their hot streak continued in the Southern League Premier Division South.

Keiran Thomas' second-half effort secured a 1-0 triumph over Bracknell Town to earn Daf Williams' team maximum points on home soil, solidifying their second-placed position in the standings on his seventh Tigers appearance.

Finally, defender Evan Humphries returned to Oxford City's line-up for their National League North clash with Scarborough Athletic.

The Gloucestershire-born left-back set up alongside former Baggies Under-21 player, Aaron Harper-Bailey, but neither were able to prevent the Hoops from falling to a 2-0 defeat at The MGroup Stadium.

Humphries played the full 90 minutes - his sixth appearance under boss Ross Jenkins - and will be fully focused on helping City push towards safety, with the defender's loan team sitting just a point above the relegation places.

Attacker Akeel Higgins wasn't included in League One Exeter City's squad for their trip to Barnsley - where they lost 2-1 at Oakwell - while goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith was an unused substitute in high-flying Middlesbrough's convincing 4-0 victory against Queens Park Rangers, as they kept up pace with league leaders Coventry City in second place.
