Albion Women are delighted to announce the signing of young forward Amya Hammond-McLean.
The 18-year-old has a wealth of experience at academy level with Leicester City and Aston Villa, and bolsters Siobhan Hodgetts-Still’s attacking armoury ahead of the league campaign.
Hammond-McLean, who is capped by England at youth level, is available to play against Loughborough Lightning in the Baggies’ FA WNL Northern Premier opener this afternoon.
And Manager Hodgetts-Still is pleased to add Hammond to the squad.
“I’m delighted to welcome Amya to our squad,” Hodgetts-Still said. “I watched her play for Leicester several times last season and was eager to bring her on board.
“She’s a young, dynamic player with tremendous potential, and I believe she’ll excel in the league. She carries the ball well and has an eye for goal.
“I’m looking forward to working with her this season.”
Welcome to the Albion, Amya!
