West Bromwich Albion take on Queens Park Rangers at The Hawthorns on Monday, December 29 (ko 7.45pm) in what will be the final game of 2025 for both clubs.
The Baggies have their sights firmly set on securing a different result to the one they had on Boxing Day, losing 2-1 in front of their own supporters against Bristol City.
Visitors QPR picked up a point on the road on the same afternoon, drawing 1-1 with Portsmouth down on the south coast.
The Londoners were victorious when the two sides went head-to-head in the capital city earlier on in December. Aune Heggebø was on target for Albion, but Rumarn Burrell's brace and Jonathan Varane's header did the damage that afternoon for the R's.

The opposition
QPR are enjoying an eye-catching 2025/26 campaign and travel up to the West Midlands sat just one point off the play-off positions.
Rangers have collected ten points from the last five games, winning three, drawing one and losing one.
They fought back from a goal down to earn a point at Portsmouth on Boxing Day - the eighth game in-a-row where they've hit the back of the net.
The Londoners boast triumphs against Albion, Leicester City, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers and Hull City over the last six weeks and will be full of confidence heading into Monday night's contest.
On the road, Rangers have a mixed record. Julien Stéphan's side have won four, drawn three and lost five of their 12 away fixtures, claiming maximum points in just one of their last six away matches.
Stéphan, a 45-year-old Frenchman, was appointed in the summer. He's previously held the top coaching position twice at Rennes and once at Strasbourg in his home country.
Memorable meeting
A late Karlan Grant brace helped the Baggies to a narrow 2-1 win over QPR at The Hawthorns in September 2021.
The hosts made a terrible start, conceding a goal inside the first minute when Andre Gray raced clear and slotted beyond Sam Johnstone.
But the Albion hit back late on to turn the game on its head. Grant squeezed the ball past Seny Dieng to make it 1-1 with 15 remaining and went on to notch the winner two minutes from time, sparking super scenes of celebration in the Brummie Road End.

Recent record on home soil against the R's
Albion 1-0 QPR, March 2025
The Baggies picked up a narrow triumph over Rangers at the start of March in 2025. Adam Armstrong scored the only goal of the game, converting a first-half penalty in front of the Smethwick End. Supporters can watch the highlights of that particular encounter below.
Albion 2-0 QPR, October 2023
The hosts recorded a convincing 2-0 victory against the ten-man Londoners on a Tuesday night towards the back end of October in 2023. QPR defender Jimmy Dunne was dismissed shortly before the hour mark after the Baggies were awarded a penalty - a spot-kick which was then confidently converted by Brandon Thomas-Asante. Albion extended their advantage ten minutes later when Grady Diangana tapped in from close range.
Albion 2-2 QPR, April 2023
The visitors fought back from two goals down to take a point back to the capital city with them on Easter Monday in 2023. Albion went 2-0 up inside 13 minutes thanks to efforts from Brandon Thomas-Asante and then Semi Ajayi, but the R's rolled up their sleeves and dragged themselves back into the encounter courtesy of Lyndon Dykes' brilliant header. And they made it 2-2 at the start of the second period when the ball hit Chris Martin outside the box and flew into an empty net.
How's that for a stat
The Baggies are on a six-match unbeaten home run against QPR (W4, D2). The last time the R's won at The Hawthorns was back in April 2015 when they secured a 4-1 Premier League triumph.
There have been at least two goals scored in five of the last six meetings between Albion and QPR, with 19 scored in total during that time.
QPR have scored exactly one goal in all of their last four away games.
Monday's meeting will be the 58th between the two teams. Albion have won 26 of the previous 57 clashes with QPR. Rangers have tasted victory 18 times, with the other 13 encounters ending level.
