West Bromwich Albion's 2026/27 Sky Bet Championship season starts with a showdown against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon (ko 3pm).
The Baggies had a brilliant beginning to the new campaign last weekend, defeating Rotherham United 4-1 at the AESSEAL New York Stadium in the Carabao Cup thanks to JJ Morgan's brace and efforts from Harry Whitwell and Felix Horn Myhre.
Hosts Norwich also made it through to the second stage of the same competition on Saturday with a 4-1 triumph. Philippe Clement's outfit comfortably overcame MK Dons in front of their own supporters. Mohamed Toure, Anis Ben Slimane, Ben Chrisene and Andre Brooks all opened their accounts for the year.
The two clubs went head-to-head in Norfolk twice last year, with Albion securing a 1-0 win in a league fixture and the Canaries claiming a 3-1 victory in an Emirates FA Cup tie.

The hosts
Norwich City were one of the best-performing teams in the second half of the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship campaign and the Canaries will be keen to carry that red-hot form into the start of the new season.
Saturday's hosts, who won 14 of their final 22 second-tier matches, ended the previous term in ninth position having been second bottom on Christmas Day - a run of results which coincided with the arrival of 52-year-old Belgian Philippe Clement.
The former Rangers, AS Monaco and Club Brugge boss transformed City's fortunes and will be determined to see his side mount a serious play-off charge this time around.
They'll be buoyed not only by their terrific displays from New Year onwards, but also by their 4-1 home victory over MK Dons in the first round of the Carabao Cup last weekend, with four different players on target.
Norwich have added new faces to their squad over the summer, including former Baggies academy graduate Sam Field who signed permanently after enjoying a loan spell at Carrow Road between February and May, as well as winger Andre Brooks and defenders Bruno Alves and Darlin Yongwa.
