The Baggies made it five unbeaten on Tuesday night, drawing 1-1 with Southampton in front of their own supporters.

Visitors Millwall are back in the West Midlands for the second time this week having travelled to Birmingham City on the same evening Albion hosted the Saints. Alex Neil will be hoping for a much better showing after seeing his team fall to a 3-0 defeat at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.

The visitors

Millwall have found consistency hard to come by so far in 2026/27 and will be hoping to head into the final international break of the calendar year having picked up a morale-boosting victory at The Hawthorns.

The Lions, who were beaten 3-0 at Birmingham City on Tuesday night, have won five, drawn three and lost six of their second-tier contests this season - a record which means they occupy one of the mid-table slots ahead of their clash with the Baggies.

Saturday's visitors were beaten Championship play-off semi-finalists last term, but they've been unable to maintain that surging momentum in the early knockings of the current campaign, something which boss Alex Neil will want his group to address as quickly as possible.

Millwall have won two, drawn one and lost four of their seven away league games. The Londoners are aiming to avoid a third straight defeat on their travels this weekend, but the men from The Den do have a habit of finding the net on the road. Neil's team have failed to score in just one of their last nine regular second-tier ties and will be determined to do the damage in the final third at The Hawthorns.

The boss is a man with a wealth of football experience. The 45-year-old Scot represented Airdrieonians, Barnsley, Mansfield Town and Hamilton Academical as a player, before going on to manage the Accies, Norwich City, Preston North End, Sunderland and Stoke prior to taking over the Lions in December 2024. Neil is approaching a century of Millwall matches, winning 45, drawing 21 and losing 29 of his 95 to date.
