West Bromwich Albion are delighted to announce the loan signing of Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba from Aston Villa until the end of the 2025/26 season.

The 19-year-old, who hails from Handsworth, returns to The Hawthorns having spent just under a decade in the club’s academy.

Jimoh-Aloba can play in a number of positions including out wide, as an attacking midfielder or as a central midfielder.

Jamal arrives at Albion after achieving two big milestones within the last five weeks – making his Premier League debut away at Arsenal in the final game of 2025 before going on to score the winner against Red Bull Salzburg in the UEFA Europa League at the end of January.

The teenager says he’s delighted to be back at a club he has a strong emotional connection with and insists he’s determined to help drive the team up the Sky Bet Championship table.

The new signing said: “This was the number one place I wanted to come because of the emotions and feelings I have towards the club. Those emotions are still in me deeply.

“This is a massive club that should be in a much better place and I want to come here and help and do the best I can. I’m determined to help lift the team.

“I was here as a kid from the age of six, so it’s a place I’m comfortable at. It’s a positive for me to come back and I can’t wait to get going.”
