The Albion Foundation welcomed supporters back to The Hawthorns on Friday evening for its third Darts Night.

More than 150 participants and spectators gathered in the East Stand concourse to enjoy an evening of friendly competition, with both Junior and Adult tournaments taking place. The atmosphere was lively throughout, as players of all ages tested their skills and enjoyed the chance to take part in a unique community event.

The night also featured a special match, as professional darts player Tom Bissell took on former Albion midfielder Nigel Quashie. The contest drew plenty of interest from those in attendance, with Bissell ultimately securing the win in an entertaining showcase.

The Junior competition saw last year’s champion, Codey, retain his title with an impressive display, despite losing one game in the group stages. In the Adult tournament, Carl was crowned the new champion following a series of strong performances throughout the evening. His achievement was warmly received by those in attendance and added further excitement to a very competitive field.

Chris Follows, Operations Director at Tipton‑based tyre wholesaler International Tyres, principal sponsors of this year’s Darts Night, reflected positively on the occasion and the Foundation’s ongoing partnership with the company.

“It is a privilege for International Tyres to continue supporting The Albion Foundation,” Follows said. “We have worked alongside the Foundation for several years, and events like this demonstrate the real impact of bringing local organisations and the community together.

“The atmosphere throughout the evening has been exceptional, and it is encouraging to see so many people engaging with the event.

“We are proud to play our part and look forward to supporting the Foundation for many years to come. Being associated with their work is something we value greatly, and we will continue to contribute whenever we can.”

The Foundation extends its thanks to Bostin Darts for their valued support throughout the evening, including providing complimentary darts flights for participants and running a well‑received pop‑up shop for guests.

Further appreciation goes to the team at Darts Coach UK, who offered expert guidance to players, supported the Foundation’s darts challenges, and officiated during the knockout stages of the competition. Their involvement played a key role in ensuring the event ran smoothly from start to finish.

The Albion Foundation looks forward to building on the success of this year’s Darts Night and continuing to bring the community together through inclusive, engaging events at The Hawthorns.
