The Baggies now head to Northampton on Wednesday evening for their third pre-season outing before facing Crewe Alexandra, Oxford United and Hertha Berlin ahead of the 2022/23 campaign opener at Middlesbrough.

Albion had the better of the first half in terms of chances, with new signing John Swift curling an effort narrowly wide and Grady Diangana forcing Stevenage goalkeeper Taye Ashby-Hammond into a good save.

But the hosts managed to find two goals in the second period to claim the friendly victory, Luke Norris and Elliott List both scoring from close-range late on.
