Several Albion stars selected for March international duty

Five senior Albion players have been selected by their nations for March’s international fixtures.

Captain Dara O’Shea and Jayson Molumby will be part of the Republic of Ireland squad for their friendly with Latvia in Dublin on Wednesday, March 22 (ko 7.45pm) and the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifier against France at the Aviva Stadium on Monday, March 27 (ko 7.45pm).

Striker Daryl Dike has been named in the USA squad for their CONCACAF Nations League matches against Grenada and El Salvador. 

Dike’s side first travel to Grenada on Saturday, March 25 (ko midnight UK time) before heading back to the States where they’ll face El Salvador in Orlando on Tuesday, March 28 (ko 12.30am UK time).

Daryl Dike looks set to feature for the USA

Defender Semi Ajayi will head away with Nigeria for their two AFCON qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau. Ajayi’s Super Eagles are at home first on Friday, March 24 (ko 4pm UK time) before playing the return game on Monday, March 27 (ko 5pm UK time).

Goalkeeper Josh Griffiths has been selected to represent England’s U21 side. The Young Lions have two friendly fixtures against France at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, March 25 (ko 5pm), before welcoming Croatia to Craven Cottage on Tuesday, March 28 (ko 7.45pm). 

Elsewhere, young forward Reyes Cleary and promising goalkeeper Ben Cisse will spend time with England’s U19 and U18 teams respectively.
