Jayson Molumby and Ousmane Diakité both featured for their nations over the weekend.

The Republic of Ireland took on Israel in their second meeting of the extended international period, coming away with a 1-1 draw on Sunday evening.

Molumby played the entirety of the fixture, with Troy Parrott scoring from the penalty spot ahead of half-time, before Dor Peretz equalised shortly after the restart.

Max O'Leary was an unused substitute in the fixture, which took place in Serbia.

Heimir Hallgrímsson's side have claimed five points from their four games to sit 3rd in Group B3. They will round off their group stage action in November, with fixtures against Austria and Kosovo.

Elsewhere, Diakité logged 25 minutes in Mali's 1-1 draw with Morocco in Tangier.

Abde Ezzalzouli opened the scoring for the hosts - and then Gaoussou Diarra netted an equaliser for Mali in the second half.

The result also completes the Eagles' batch of fixtures over the break, with a double-header in AFCON qualifying against Rwanda coming up next month.

Meanwhile, Chris Mepham and George Campbell were both unused substitutes for Wales and USA respectively over the weekend.

Craig Bellamy's Cymru side wrapped up their action this month with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Denmark on Sunday night, courtesy of a Rasmus Højlund penalty kick. The result leaves them third in Group A4 on three points.

Mauricio Pochettino's USMNT cruised to a resounding 3-0 friendly win in the early hours of Sunday. Julian Hall, Cavan Sullivan and Malik Tillman were all on the scoresheet.

The Albion skipper will hope to feature in the early hours of Wednesday, when the USA face neighbouring Canada in their final friendly fixture of the break in Minnesota (ko 1am UK time).
