Ousmane Diakité believes the Baggies deserved to claim all three points on Friday night against Millwall.
Albion were held to a goalless draw by the Lions in what was an entertaining contest at The Hawthorns.
The Mali international delivered another brilliant performance, a display which earned him the Player of the Match award.
Diakité says his team had to “fight” under the lights and insists they’ll continue to give their all in the final four fixtures.
Ousmane said: “I think we deserved to win the game. The guys worked really hard, but, unfortunately, we missed a couple of chances at the end.
“I tried my best tonight. That’s the only thing I think about in every game. I try to play well and help my team-mates, and it was no different for me tonight.
“Every Championship game is physical. Millwall, that’s even more of a physical game because you have to fight against them.
“We tried to get on the ball and we tried to play forward. That’s what the gaffer said to us and we tried to do that – it was there.
“Right now, everyone is together. That’s really important and we are always trying to push each other. In the dressing room there’s a great mix of being focused and getting on with each other. I think that’s really crucial.
“I don’t like to speak too much about my own performance because I only ever want to give my best, enjoy myself and play with confidence. I am learning every day and I would say that I’m only at about 80 per cent of my best. I want to keep getting better. I’ll keep driving to get that to 100 per cent.
“We really wanted to get the three points tonight, but we’ll take the point and move forward. We’ll get to work and prepare for the next game.”
