Six Albion men were in action for their loan clubs over the weekend.

In the Sky Bet Championship, Cedric Kipre completed the full game for Cardiff City who lost 2-0 in the Severnside derby against Bristol City.

Tommy Conway and Rob Atkinson were on the scoresheet against Kipre’s Bluebirds at Ashton Gate on Sunday afternoon.

Elsewhere in the second tier Alex Mowatt played 90 minutes for Middlesbrough before being taken off in second-half added time as they suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Reading.

The midfielder was replaced by striker Caolan Boyd-Munce as Boro went in search of a leveller in Berkshire, but it was the Royals who secured all three points courtesy of Tyrese Fornah’s effort.

Three youngsters featured for their respective teams in Sky Bet League One, including goalkeeper Josh Griffiths, defender Caleb Taylor and midfielder Quevin Castro.

Griffiths was on the winning side once again, playing the full 90 minutes for Portsmouth who secured their third straight league victory with a 3-1 triumph over Bristol Rovers at Fratton Park.

Connor Ogilvie, Joe Pigott and Owen Dale all scored for Pompey, while Aaron Collins found the net for Rovers.
