Jayson Molumby | Much-needed win for 'brilliant' away fans

Jayson Molumby is interviewed following Albion's win at Stoke

Match-winner Jayson Molumby has dedicated Albion’s victory over Stoke to the 2,600 travelling supporters in attendance at the Bet365 Stadium.

The Irish midfielder, who netted both of the Baggies’ goals as they came from behind to claim three important points on Saturday afternoon, heaped praise on the fans for sticking with them despite being a goal down at the break.

And he’s challenged the Albion players to put together another winning run as they look to push towards the Sky Bet Championship’s top six.

“It was massive for us to come away from home and get a win,” said Jayson. “It keeps us alive. We’re fighting.

“I was just happy to be back, competing with the lads and getting the win.

“We’re buzzing in the dressing room. It was a much-needed win. It’s been a tough little period.

“I thought the fans were brilliant. At half-time, we’re going in 1-0 down and they were cheering us in. They were up for it.

“The fans were unbelievable so hats-off to them.

“We were disappointed in the way we conceded, obviously. We didn’t play our best in the first-half but we had to dig deep and fight together, and thankfully we came away with three points.

“I ventured into the box a few times and tried getting on the end of things. Luckily it fell for me in the right areas and I managed to score two important goals.

“We need to go on a little run again. We had it when the gaffer first came in, we won four or five in-a-row. That’s what we need to do now and I’m fully confident that we are able to do that.”
