Albion can confirm publication of the ‘History of The Hawthorns’ is in its final stages – with books set to be despatched on Monday, December 15 and delivered before Christmas.
The club would like to apologise to supporters who pre-ordered the book expecting a November delivery and understands the importance of it arriving before Christmas.
Putting together such a large and important book has raised a number of issues throughout its compilation, but the club is determined to ensure it is the most comprehensive and lavishly illustrated volume possible, produced to the highest standards.
The club believes it has achieved this, and that the project deserved the additional work it demanded, but it has led to a delay, which it apologises for.
Supporters will be informed by email when their copy is on its way.
The leatherbound copies will be despatched a couple of days later as they need to be hand signed by Tony Brown, James Morrison and Chris Brunt, but will be out in time for Christmas delivery.
All copies will be despatched by the book’s publisher, ACA Creative.
