Albion's Cerebral Palsy team secured an impressive semi-final finish in the National Cerebral Palsy Cup 2025 at St George's Park on Saturday.

The Baggies came second in Group A after a 10-point haul including wins over Brighton, CP United and South West Cerebal Palsy.

Though a strong showing almost saw them through to the final, a narrow defeat to eventual winners Cerebral Palsy North West, left them to exit the competition at the semi-final stage.

The Baggies began the day in fine fashion, securing an important 3-0 victory over league rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.

Ollie began the rout, after being played into space, he hit a high finish which evaded the goalkeeper. Shortly afterwards, Corey curled into the bottom corner with a precise shot from just inside the area.

Forward Ollie notched his brace with moments left of the game. Calum poked an indirect free-kick into the number nine's path, leaving him the task of slamming past the onrushing Brighton defence to secure a valuable first win.

Albion took on Norwich City in their second Group A game, and were in for a stern test, which was made all the more tough as the Canaries opened the scoring with a well-worked move.

Though the prolific Ollie continued his strong scoring form with just two minutes remaining. Having recovered possession thanks to energetic pressing from Morgan - he sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to grab an important point.

In game three the Baggies went up against CP United, and ran out 2-0 victors. Ollie continued his scoring streak with another smart finish from close range.

The forward's brace came shortly after, Lewis dribbled from the left-back position before teeing up Ollie for his finest finish of the day - curling into the top corner and effectively securing knockout qualification.

A single-goal setback against eventual group winners Chelsea handed the Baggies their only defeat of the group stage in game four.

It would only be a setback, though, as Albion beat South West Cerebal Palsy thanks to another Ollie strike. Midfielder Corey slammed an effort against the post, leaving the goalscorer to bundle over the line, and a resilient defensive showing to see out the final group match.

The semi-final brought plenty of chances, but the Baggies were undone by a long-range strike, leaving them to mull a single-goal defeat against North West Cerebral Palsy at a late stage.

Congratulations on an excellent effort, team!
