Albion youngsters Akeel Higgins and Harry Whitwell were both in action for their loan clubs over the weekend.
It was a hugely successful Saturday for winger Higgins who bagged the third of four Exeter City goals as the Grecians secured a thumping 4-0 triumph over Wycombe Wanderers in the second round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The Baggies man turned inside the box and fired beyond Wycombe stopper Will Norris with just ten minutes remaining at St James Park in Devon.
Akeel completed 89 minutes before being replaced by Liam Oakes on an afternoon where the hosts cruised into round three. Jack Aitchison scored the first two goals, the first of which was assisted by Albion's academy graduate. Jayden Wareham was also on target for Exeter.

Elsewhere, Whitwell played the entirety of Forest Green Rovers' 1-1 draw at home to Solihull Moors in the Enterprise National League.
Alex Whitmore's goal meant the Moors went in 1-0 up at the break, but Nick Haughton equalised for Robbie Savage's side just after the hour.
The result means Harry's team are second in the table, level on points with leaders Rochdale, as well as Carlisle United in third.
