West Bromwich Albion have a meeting with automatic-promotion chasing Millwall under the lights at The Hawthorns on Friday night (ko 8pm).
James Morrison's team, who extended their unbeaten run to six matches by drawing 0-0 at Blackburn Rovers on Easter Monday, have an opportunity to move seven points clear of danger.
Visitors Millwall dropped out of the top two on the same afternoon following a 2-1 home defeat to Norwich. They're fourth, level on points with Ipswich Town in second and Middlesbrough in third.
The men from The Den were comfortable 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture back in October on what was a disappointing day for Albion.

The opposition
Millwall are having an incredible season and could go second with a result on Friday night. The Lions currently sit fourth in the Sky Bet Championship, level on points with third-place Middlesbrough and current runners-up Ipswich Town.
However, due to their significantly inferior goal difference, which lies 20 lower than Ipswich's and 12 shy of Middlesbrough's, Millwall will need points to turn their automatic promotion dreams into reality.
Results have stuttered slightly over the past few weeks, with three wins, a draw and two defeats in their last six. March started with back-to-back victories over Hull City and Derby, before a shock loss at home to Blackburn Rovers preceded two huge games away at Ipswich and Middlesbrough either side of the international break. Millwall picked up four crucial points from those fixtures but couldn't then back it up, falling to defeat at home to Norwich on Easter Monday.
Over the course of the season, Alex Neil's side have won 21 matches, drawn nine and lost 11. The 44-year-old was appointed Lions boss at the end of December 2024 and has overseen 71 games to date.
The Scot began his managerial career at Hamilton Academical as a 32-year-old, and was so successful that Norwich City came calling for his services after less than two years at the helm. And it proved a fantastic hire, as Neil guided the Canaries to the Premier League just five months later. He remained in charge for two years before joining Preston North End for nearly four full seasons.
A spell at Sunderland and 16 months at Stoke preceded his appointment at Millwall, and he now has the South-Londoners on the brink of the Premier League.
Memorable meeting
Albion defeated Millwall 2-0 on home soil in the Sky Bet Championship in September 2018.
Strikes in the final 22 minutes from Dwight Gayle and Kieran Gibbs were enough to secure all three points.

Recent record on home soil against the Lions
Albion 0-0 Millwall, October 2024
It was a frustrating afternoon when Albion last welcomed Millwall to The Hawthorns. The hosts had 79% posession and 13 shots, but couldn't find a way through a determined defence. The draw meant Albion were consigned to fourth spot, instead of going level with leaders Sunderland and Sheffield United, while Millwall were left down in 18th. Check out the best of the action below.
Albion 0-0 Millwall, September 2023
Alex Palmer was the hero in this fixture, saving Zian Flemming's first-half penalty to keep his side in the game. Albion had the best of the second period, striking the crossbar twice through Alex Mowatt and Brandon Thomas-Asante, but again, the deadlock remained unbroken.
Albion 0-0 Millwall, April 2023
The Albion goalkeeper was again on fine form for this tie as Josh Griffiths beat away strikes from Tom Bradshaw and Zian Flemming to extend their unbeaten run at The Hawthorns to 11 Championship matches. Thomas-Asante had Albion's best chance, but it was blocked late on.

Millwall have the best points-per-game ratio in the second tier for fixtures played away from home. They've collected 36 from their 20 matches - the same tally as Coventry City and Middlesbrough, who have both played 21 times on their travels in 2025/26.
