Join The Albion Foundation in Africa

Be part of the charity's trip to Kenya in May 2014

THE Albion Foundation has teamed up with African Adventures to offer supporters the opportunity to spend seven days working with a range of community projects in a developing area of south-western Kenya.

On Monday, May 26, 2014, a group of Baggies fans will embark on the charity’s first-ever group trip to sub-Saharan Africa, to give something back to the international community, whilst enjoying a unique travel experience.

From football coaching and building work to teaching in schools and community work with children, there are a number of project roles to choose from and the trip will require dynamic, enthusiastic individuals to help us achieve our goal of improving the lives of people less fortunate than us.

The Albion Foundation’s business development manager, Jon Ross, said: “We are delighted to be involved with African Adventures.

“It’s great that fans will get the opportunity to represent the club in another country, where they will be doing such fantastic work.

“The trip will not only make a massive difference to the local community in Kenya but will also have a huge impact on the local community in the West Midlands.

You do not need to be qualified in your chosen field – you will be provided with teaching/sports coaching resources prior to departure to support you.

The trip also aims to raise £20,000 for The Albion Foundation, which will provide the registered charity (number 1081948) with vital funds to continue supporting local people in the local area.

Included in the trip is an incredible rift valley adventure day, comprising of a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, a stop off at the earth’s equator, and an adventure trail at Thomson Falls, near Nyahururu.

Individuals are asked to raise approximately £2,250 in order to take part.

The Foundation will be holding a number of fundraising events to raise awareness of the trip and to help participants raise the required amount.

The official trip launch takes place at The Hawthorns on Wednesday, September 4, from 7pm, and will provide prospective volunteers with all the information they need ahead of the trip.

If you are interested in representing the The Albion Foundation and wish to attend our open evening please contact info@albionfoundation.co.uk to book your seat.

So what are you waiting for? Do something amazing this year and volunteer in Africa.
