Football Development Officer – Worcestershire 

(Full time - 12 month contract)
£18,000 - £26,000 + Bonus


The Albion Foundation (registered Charity 1081948) is an established and successful provider of Sports and Education programmes.

The role:

Reporting to the Sports Development Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing and co-ordinating the set- up of evening centres, Player Development Centres, Soccer Camps and out of school hour’s activities in Worcestershire.

Developing and strengthening links with schools and organisations that fall within the Schools and Communities Programme.

You will actively promote the Fans for the Future initiative in partnership with West Bromwich Albion FC in the Worcestershire area.

You will manage coaches within your specific area, as well as maintain relationships with existing partners, such as schools and community groups.

Delivery to a wide range of participants, which will include a diverse range of children of various ages and abilities.

Planning, delivering and monitoring a wide range of activities on offer for young people that might be within the curriculum or beyond into community sport.

Delivering other sports, as well as other related areas of coaching such as fundamentals and multi-skills. 

Working within the curriculum and beyond, and will be expected to work regularly on evenings, weekends and school holidays.

You:

Will hold at least two National Governing Body Awards in Coaching, one of those being a FA Coaching Certificate Level 2 in Football. You shall also be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a similar environment.
 
Will have the passion and ability to utilise the brand name of West Bromwich Albion FC to engage young people into activity programmes. 

Will have inter-personal skills, enthusiasm and energy that will quickly earn the respect of your colleagues and partners alike.

Will have a flexible approach to work, as will be the ability to plan and organise your work to a busy schedule.  

Will be open minded on coaching styles, with a commitment to further develop your current body of skills. Knowledge of Child Protection and welfare will be essential
