Black Country Living Museum

The Foundation partnership team with two members of staff from the Black Country Living Museum.

The Albion Foundation are delighted to welcome Black Country Living Museum to our Patron Club.

The award-winning open air museum, based in the heart of the Black Country, tells the story of one of the very first industrialised landscapes in Britain.

Black Country Living Museum spans across 29 acres, including reconstructed shops, houses and industrial areas that represent the region and its people.

Kate Kirkpatrick, Head of Cultural Enterprises at Black Country Living Museum said:

"Connecting with our communities is at the heart of what we do. We are passionate about the Black Country and proud to celebrate its people and heritage, with a continued commitment to making the Black Country Living Museum as accessible and inclusive as possible.

"As an educational charity, we’re delighted to be partnering with The Albion Foundation to support their Baggie Bird Penalty Shoot Out competition in local schools as well as collaborating with them to work with other community groups that can be supported by both of our organisations. We look forward to building a rewarding and lasting relationship that helps inspire and engage young people across our region."

Events and Partnerships Coordinator Jayne Norton says that welcoming another local business with roots in the community is key to the long-term growth of the Foundation.

“We are delighted to welcome Black Country Living Museum to our rapidly expanding Patron Club,” Norton said. “It’s another opportunity to share knowledge and expertise with another excellent local business.

“After meeting them, it was clear of their admiration for our award-winning work within the community and it gives us a great opportunity to embrace the region’s culture. We look forward to watching this Patronship blossom and welcome them to the Patron Club.”
