Post-16 Programme

Are you leaving school and looking for the next step in your career? How about playing football while you study?

The Albion Foundation's Post-16 Programme, delivered in partnership with Sandwell College, gives you the opportunity to gain a BTEC qualification while representing the Foundation in competitive college football against other professional club community organisations.

You'll train two times a week and compete in one fixture per week, with all training sessions and home matches taking place at West Bromwich Albion Academy facilities. The educational element of the programme is delivered at both The Hawthorns Stadium and Sandwell College, providing a unique learning environment.

Alongside your studies and football development, you'll have access to additional qualifications and opportunities, including the FA Introduction to Coaching Football, UEFA C Licence and MultiSkills Level 2 award. There are also pathways to gain valuable experience as a volunteer or casual coach with The Albion Foundation, following in the footsteps of many of our tutors and staff.

Our Post-16 Programme combines education with competitive football, helping students develop both on and off the pitch in a professional environment. Participants benefit from clear progression routes into higher education, employment and the football industry.

Latest Taster Sessions

Here you can find the latest upcoming Taster Sessions for our Post-16 Football and Education Programme in partnership with Sandwell College. Taster Sessions are usually open to both boys and girls, and can be accessed by clicking the button below.

To participate in the taster sessions, you MUST currently be in Year 11 or Year 12.

Boys Session: 10:00am-12:00pm 

Girls Session: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
