Visual Impaired (VI) Football Fun Sessions

Participants gathered around as coaches discuss the session ahead

We are delighted to invite young people with visual impairment to take part in our weekly VI-friendly football sessions, running from January through to the end of June 2026.

These inclusive sessions are designed to create a fun, safe and supportive environment where participants can stay active, build confidence and develop new skills.

The programme is being delivered by The Albion Foundation in partnership with Metropolitan Hospitals Charity, with grant funding from The Roper-Hall Eye Foundation. This funding will support a pilot community initiative focused on sports engagement and wellbeing for children and young people affected by visual impairment.

Sessions will be delivered as a series of flexible, interactive activities held outside of school hours during evening time slots. Activities will be adapted to suit the needs and abilities of all participants.

The sessions are open to young people aged 6 to 24, with age-appropriate groupings to ensure everyone benefits fully. While football will be the main focus, other sports may also be introduced depending on interest.

Thanks to our funding partners, all sessions are completely free of charge. We look forward to welcoming you and launching this exciting programme.
