Albion earned a 2-2 draw at Watford in a rainy Sky Bet Championship clash on Wednesday night.
All four goals came during an enthralling first half, with Tom Ince and Matheus Martins netting for the Hornets either side of John Swift and Jed Wallace strikes.
Next up, Carlos Corberán’s men return to The Hawthorns this weekend to face Millwall (ko 3pm).
Albion’s Head Coach named an unchanged team for the trip to Watford, with Tom Fellows replacing the injured Josh Maja on the bench.
But it was the hosts who made a quick start – Ince curling home inside three minutes.
Albion hit back, though, and were soon level when Swift wrong-footed Dan Bachmann via a direct free-kick – netting his fourth goal of the season so far.
And the visitors wasted no time in finding another just three minutes later, Wallace doing brilliantly to divert Darnell Furlong’s low cross into the far corner and complete the turnaround.
However, the action from a crazy first period wasn’t quite done yet, and there was time for Watford to equal things up ahead of half-time – an individual effort by Martins firing the Hornets back in it for 2-2 at the interval.
Two fantastic saves kept the teams locked level after the restart – first Bachmann tipping Brandon Thomas-Asante’s powerful shot over, then Alex Palmer somehow stopping Ismael Kone’s header down the other end.
As the rain continued to pour, the chances began to dry up, but there was once last opportunity for Albion. A quick counter saw substitute Jeremy Sarmiento play in Thomas-Asante, yet Bachmann was there again to stop his finish and ensure the points were shared.
