U18 Report | Tottenham Hotspur 5-2 Albion

Albion Under-18s suffered final-day defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday afternoon.

The Baggies got off to a flying start on Hotspur Way when top scorer Harry French raced onto Danyal Iqbal’s through ball on the break, leaving the former to find the bottom corner, and the game’s opening goal.

The hosts were quick to reply, though. Armend Muslika bagged a 10-minute hat-trick to blow daylight between the two teams and leave Albion with a tough challenge to overcome after just 21 minutes.

French was on hand to ensure Chay Thompson’s men kept a foothold in proceedings when he once again showed his poacher’s instinct to rifle home for 3-2.

But Spurs weren’t done with their scoring for the afternoon. Oliver Boast scored on the stroke of half-time, and Muslika notched his fourth, and the hosts’ fifth with 10 minutes remaining.

The Baggies couldn’t muster a response in North London, but will take pride in knowing they’ve finished at least sixth in the U18 Premier League South, with them currently sat in fifth position and Crystal Palace still to play their final match.
